Advice for the week: watch out for wedding vendors with time limits.

Ok, so most vendors have time limits.  Right? True. But be careful, and try and get a feel for the personality that you will be working with before you book. We have seen it time and time again, a bride and groom will book a certain vendor for a 8 hour block, knowing that the vendor will leave at 9 pm. Problem: 9 pm rolls around, and no one is done eating! They haven’t even started in on the cake cutting, first dance, parents dance, etc.! Most of the time, vendors will put in the extra hour or two at no charge, to make sure that your special day goes smoothly. However, vendors exist that are not so professional, and that will leave on the dot, regardless of how the night is progressing!

Make sure you don’t book one of those vendors!

When you are sitting down with your vendors before the wedding, make sure to ask them what will happen if things run over. Know ahead of time if they are the type of vendor that will pack up and leave, or if they will stay a few extra hours (even if they will charge you a small fee – it will be worth it in the end). If they say they’ll split, then maybe they aren’t the vendor for you.
